OCONTO – Around 250,000 people are expected to attend the 2025 NFL Draft April 24-26 in Green Bay and Ashwaubenon. It’s unclear how many will travel a little farther north to Oconto County.
Oconto County officials had hoped they could reap some benefits of the tourists surge, but certainly signs of it being a windfall hasn’t materialized.
“There’s some bookings here and there, but it’s not necessarily the influx that, you know, we had talked about as a potential,” said Kelly Schwartz, the director of marketing and communications for the Tourism & Economic Development Corporation for the Oconto Region, better known as TEDCOR.
