New Study Reveals Oconto County’s Outdoor Recreation Economy Powered by Remarkably Loyal Visitor Base

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
An economic impact study reveals that Oconto County’s outdoor recreation economy is driven by an extraordinarily loyal visitor base, with a remarkable 97% of outdoor recreation visitors being repeat guests. The study found that anglers spend an average of $2,000 per group per visit, while ATV/UTV riders contribute $1,279 per trip. Conducted by TEDCOR with support from the Wisconsin Office of Outdoor Recreation, the research highlights how fishing and trail activities generate the highest economic returns for local communities across all four seasons.
